Creating a brahminical vision and a spiritual future
As ISKCON's demographic matures into a broad family-based community there is an increasing need for qualified brahmanas. Such active ministers are needed to serve the diverse needs of the community. These needs include education, samskaras, deity worship, etc. Perhaps you would like to ensure that there will also be someone there when you need them? It is the intention of The Mayapur Academy to fulfil these needs.

What is Mayapur Academy?

Mayapur Academy is aimed at developing devotee's proficiency in brahminical knowledge, skills and values through a wide range of courses which incorporate hands-on workshops and seminars.
Including:
1 Standard temple worship
2 Brahminical culture & ethics
3 Samskaras
4 Festivals
5 Tulasi
6 Cooking for the deities
7 Deity dressing

These courses present a relevant and challenging response to current demands of deity worship and brahminical services in ISKCON.

Why a Mayapur Academy?

Society's need for brahminical guidance has never been more keenly felt. The unbridled pursuit of consumerism, promiscuity, and lack of respect for seniors are all symptomatic of a misdirected society. The panacea can only be given by qualified devotees who are able to represent the absolute truth. Mayapur Academy aims to educate devotees to the highest standards of brahminical qualities and ethics.

This will only be possible with your support.

1To create qualified, reliable pujaris and brahmanas.
2.To enable devotees to develop a complement of brahmincal
skills and vocational options.
3.To promote a lifelong commitment to Krishna conscious
learning.
4.To equip priests as effective ministers serving the needs
of ISKCON.
5.To continuously inspire & support the development of
brahminical qualities and activities.
6.To establish a community of practice among pujaris &
brahmanas

Srila Prabhupada: Good citizenship... cannot be enforced; the citizens must be trained. As there are schools and colleges to train students to become chemical engineers, lawyers or specialists in many other departments of knowledge, there must be schools and colleges to train students to become brahmanas... SB 9.10.50
