Saturday the 3rd of December, HH Bhakti Purosottama Maharaj joined the boys from Sri Mayapur International school, for a parikram of several holy tirthas in Godrumadvipa and Madhyadvipa. Maharaj shared with the students pastimes from Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura’s Navadwip mahatmya in relation to the different sites visited.

2012 Gaura Vani’s visit to Sri Mayapur International School Monday was totally unplanned and it turned out to be a great event for the whole school. It all happened thanks to Rama Vigaha P. (ACBSP), the head of the boys’ ashram, who casually met him and invited him.

Parikrama Adhivas is on 25 Feb.Every year the number of devotees attending the Navaadvipa Mandala Parikrama are increasing. Around 5000 devotees took part in 2011 Parikrama.

On Friday the 24th of December, a group of students and teachers from Sri Mayapur International School led by HH Bhakti Purusottama swami, went on a memorable trip to Sri Nityananda Ram’s birthplace: Ekachakra Dham. The bus left Sri Mayapur dham early in the morning and reached Ekachakra around noon.

Many years ago, while in Vrindavan, I expressed to my spiritual master my difficulty in engaging in some elements of the process of devotional life. When he asked why, I explained how I was only inspired to do something not out of duty, or because I was told, or because it was required, but that I felt it had to come from the heart, it had to be done out of a deep, heartfelt desire to want to do it. With great sadness, ISKCON Mayapur community devotees deeply mourn the departure of HG Devarsi Prabhu. A long time resident of Mayapur, although originally from Spain, Prabhu left his body at 2:30pm in Krishnanagar yesterday (21st Dec) on the auspicious Ekadasi day, following a severe attack of tuberculosis.
